The General Officer, Commanding 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Hassan Taiwo Dada has assured Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State that they will support his administration to realized the dream of an improved security in Anambra State.
Major General Dada who resumed as the GOC 82 Division in July visited Governor Soludo at his Lodge in Amawbia to discuss areas of potential collaboration and to strengthen the synergy between the Army and civil administrations in the region.
During the meeting, Major General Dada emphasized the importance of close coordination between the Army and civil administration to ensure peace and security in the state and the South East East region.
He assured the Governor Soludo of the division’s assistance in handling any security challenges that may arise in the future.
Governor Soludo welcomed the Army Commander and commended the Army’s efforts in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The Governor described Major General Dada as a fitting round peg in a round hole, judging by his education, training and professional experience in all ramifications.
He stated that many of the security personnel have paid the supreme sacrifice during what he described as the perculiar self inflicted insurgency in the region and reiterated call on Anambra youths to take advantage of the many empowerment programmes of his government.
He stated that the Army and other security agencies have been vital partners in the development of the state and appreciated the valuable role they play in maintaining law and order.
82 Division covers all formations of the Army in the five states of the South East and Cross River State.
Recall that Major General Dada assumed the role of GOC, 82 Division on the 12th July, 2023.
