A fast growing non-governmental organization, All for Women Initiative Nigeria, A-WIN, has rated “Le Look” as best indigenous entrepreneurial hub in West Africa.
The founder of the organisation, Comrade Stella Igboka stated this when she led a delegation of the organization to the corporate headquarters of Le Look in Abuja as part of A-WIN’s efforts to discover empowerment opportunities for women during her annual summit and Womens Day celebration slated for 7th March 2024.
“Le Look” has the mission to sensitize, train and empower women and youths to be become self reliant through manufacturing designing and entrepreneurship by providing skills training that will enable them produce locally for a global market.
Speaking during the visit, Comrade Igboka rolled out the vision of organization, saying that they seek to realize a society where the dignity, rights, and virtues of womanhood are protected and preserved and to help reduce the rate of abuses among women and the vulnerable in Nigeria.
She commended the Chief Executive Officer of Le Look, Mrs Chinwe Ezenwa for standing firm to conquer the glass ceiling against women and youths through the hub and described her as a shining example to women and the younger generation.
Comrade Igboka used the opportunity to recommend the training facility to governments, politicians and stakeholders as capable partners for empowerment programmes.
The A-WIN founder appealed to Mrs Ezenwa to extend her knowledge and wealth of experience to women who will attend their celebration.
Taking the group round the facility, Mrs Ezenwa pointed out that they are passionate about educating students and ensuring that they are equipped with professional courses aimed at preparing them to provide solutions to society’s need.
She listed some of their projects to include drawing and illustration bags, cutting of fabrics, bag making assembly and business.
She appreciated the Anambra state Commissioner of Women Affairs and Children and board members of A-WIN for the visit, assuring them of the partnership of Le Look.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Le Look, Mrs Ezenwa welcome the delegation in company of the Director of Studies of the school, Mr. Osita Nwafor; School Administrator, Mrs. Ada Ozongwu; Director of Administration, Mr. Christian Nwaeseni; Production/ Factory Manager, Mr. Sunday Irulor; and the Abuja and Sales Manager, Mr. Obadiah Yohanna.
In the A-WIN entourage include Mrs. Ify Obi of UNIZIK FM, and former deputy governorship aspirant in Imo State, Barrister Vivian Otti, among others.
