The Deputy Majority Leader of Anambra State House Of Assembly, Dr. Jude Akpua, has enjoined youths to remain in the forefront in championing peace and development of the state.
Speaking when he received youth delegation from Nimo community in Njikoka Local Government Area, Dr. Akpua, who is representing Njikoka Two Constituency in the state assembly, said no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour, animosity and violence.
He thanked the youths for their peaceful disposition in their community affairs, saying that conflict resolution in the community wouldn’t have been achieved without sincere cooperation of the youths.
The lawmaker reminded his constituents that the Soludo administration is passionate about youth development; considering his investments in the sector so far, and encouraged all youths to key into the Governor’s empowerment programmes in order to help build a liveable and prosperous homeland.
He encouraged his constituents to support the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo, and his representation for more dividends of democracy, adding that he would execute constituency projects in the area in partnership with the youths; in order to give the youths sense of belonging they deserved.
Earlier in his remark, the Youth Leader of Nimo community, Mr Chidike Okwaji, said their courtesy was to thank Dr. Akpua for his consistency, steadfastness and sincere efforts in resolving problems the community had in the past, saying that the Nimo youths are happy with Dr. Akpua’s representation at the state level, and will continue to support the Soludo administration.
