A middle aged man who reportedly sustained head and body injuries from a road accident at Umuchu, Aguata LGA of Anambra State is still lying in hospital bed at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, COOUTH, Amaku Awka, and hasn’t been able to provide enough details about himself.
A good Samaritan who brought the victim to the hospital said he couldn’t speak for days after the incident, and no family member or relative of the man has come forward to identify with him at the hospital.
Upon improvement in his condition, the victim was said to have given his name as Abuchi Mkporogwu. He was also said to have mentioned Nenwe in Aninri, and Awgu in Awgu Local Government Areas of Enugu State, creating confusion over where he actually hails from.
He however hasn’t been able to give more details on how to locate his people.
The good Samaritan who gave his name as Jonah, further explained that he had spent hundreds of thousand on treatment of the victim, and said that he was divinely inspired to help restore the life of the victim.
He said that health workers at the facilities visited have done and are doing their best in managing the patient, and called on any person(s) looking for a loved one to check at COOUTH Amaku Awka for possible identification.
The victim was said to have received first medical attention at Chinedu Clinic and Maternity, Ibughubu Umuchu before he was on 30th April 2024 referred to COOUTH Amaku Awka for further treatment.
