Gunmen have reportedly invaded the palace of the traditional ruler of Lilu in Ihiala Local Government Area, Igwe Godson Onyediri and demolished it.
The Chambers News learnt that the incident occurred in the early hours of today when the gunmen allegedly invaded Igwe Onyediri’s palace said to still be under construction, shooting sporadically before starting to destroy property and demolishing his buildings.
The reason for the dastardly act on the Lilu monarch could not be easily ascertained at the time of filing the report.
The Chambers News learnt that the incident threw the community into palpable fear and panic.
