Anambra 2025: I will prioritize citizens’ welfare, create job opportunities for economic growth – PDP candidate, Ezenwafor

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the November 8th Anambra governorship election, Ambassador Sir Jude Ezenwafor, KSJI, has said that he is a peace builder, and will bring former members back to the party to enable it achieve victory in the exercise.

He stated this in a brief remark after emerging flag bearer of the party during primary election held in Awka, the state capital, where he scored 798 votes to emerge as the candidate.

Ezenwafor, in a statement released afterwards, described the moment as a culmination of the values and principles learned in their strive for better and prosperous Anambra State.

“Our resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to excellence by ensuring fairness, Justice and transparency in governance. Today, I ask for your support as I embark on this new journey to serve our beloved state as your gubernatorial candidate”.

While assuring all-inclusive governance in all his policies, programs, and especially during electioneering campaigns and party activities, the PDP governorship candidate stated that for too long, Anambra has been plagued by challenges that have hindered progress and stifled growth, but however expressed belief that together, the people can overcome these challenges and unlock the vast potential that lies within and offer people the best Democratic dividends.

The statement reads in part:

“As your candidate and your governorship hopeful, I promise to prioritize the welfare and well-being of our citizens, to create Job opportunities for economic growth and development, and to ensure that our state is a place where everyone can thrive and economic impacts mitigated.

I am committed to running an issue based campaign and focusing on the issues that matter most to Ndi Anambra including residents of the state. I will engage with our citizens, listen to their concerns, and work tirelessly to find solutions that benefit all, as we embark on this great journey together.

I am proud to follow in the footsteps of visionary leaders like former Governor, Sir Chris Ngige, Sir Peter Obi and other leaders that have contributed immensely towards the advancement of our democracy and development of our beloved State, Anambra.

These leaders have shown that with determination and hard work, we can achieve greater things, But I also recognize that there is still much work to be done, and I am eager to contribute my own wealth of experience to the task of building a better Anambra.

So I’ ask for your support, your prayers, and your active participation in this campaign and other activities geared to repositioning our state. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for ourselves, our children, and generations unborn.

Now the dice is cast and our great Party PDP concluded primaries to the Glory of God, let’s consolidate on the gains of this great occasion and make sacrifices to better the livelihood of our people”.

In his remark, the Anambra State Chairman of PDP, Honourable Chidi Chidebe, who expressed joy over the emergence of Ezenwafor as the party’s candidate, said with him, the PDP would emerge victorious in the election because the party has enabling structures and resources.
