Over 1000 workers of the defunct Anambra State Water Corporation ( ANSWC ) and Anambra State Environmental Protection Agency ( ANSEPA) have endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second term bid .
The event which took place at the headquarters of the Anambra State Urban Water Supply Asset Holdings Corporation in Awka, attracted both retired and current workers and heads of the agency.
The workers listed the achievements of the Soludo administration to include the restoration of state water corporation by strengthening the new Anambra State Urban Water Asset Holdings Corporation, resuscitation of moribund urban water schemes in parts of the state, out of court settlement of decades of dispute between state government and the workers, payment of first and second tranche of the arrears of their salaries, allowances and pensions.
Speaking through a former Managing Director of ANSEPA, Comrade Chris Nwosu and State Chairman AUPCTRE, Comrade Emmanuel Onyejiaka, they appreciated Governor Soludo for his exceptional leadership and developmental strides across all sectors of the state which have restored hope to ndi Anambra and rekindled their confidence in government.
According to them, the endorsement is their little way of appreciating Governor Soludo and assured that their PVCs are ready and would return the Solution Governor come November 8.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Urban Water Supply Asset Holdings Corporation, Engr. Ikeobi Ejiofor expressed delight for the endorsement which according to him goes to show the empathy and human oriented policies of the Soludo administration as the agency and workers were forgotten until the intervention of Governor Soludo.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka and the Special Adviser to the Governor Soludo on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu while extolling the workers for the solidarity especially as regards to the upcoming election, said that Governor’s giant exploits are in all sectors of the state economy.
They recalled the achievements of the Soludo led administration and charged them not to deceived by money bag politicians who are only after enriching themselves.
