Ifeadigo 2025: About 5,000 Pharmacists To Converge On Awka For ACPN 44th Annual International Scientific Conference

… Anambra is ready; thanks to Gov. Soludo – State ACPN Chairman, Pharm. Iloh

About five thousand pharmacists nationwide will on 22nd to 27th July converge on the International Convention Center, Awka, the Anambra State capital, for the “44th International Scientific Conference” of members of Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, ACPN, tagged “Ifeadigo 2025”

The event with the theme; “Technology integration and personalized care: the future of community pharmacy practice”, will feature keynote presentation, panel discussion, networking, exhibitions, excursions and lots more.

With the Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the Chief host, the event’s opening ceremony will be chaired by the Chairman/Founder of Alpha Pharmacy, Pharm. Sir Ike Onyechi, while Professor Chukwuemeka Michael Ubaka; from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, will be the keynote speaker.

Special guest of honor at the event is the President of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, Pharm. Tanko Ayuba Ibrahim, while the host is the National Chairman of ACPN, Pharm. Eze Ambrose Igwekamma, according to the National Secretary, ACPN, Pharm. (Mrs) Omokhafe Ashore, and the Conference Planning Committee Chairman, Pharm. Ekhator Lawrence.

On preparedness for the event, the Anambra Chairman of the ACPN, Pharm. Henry Iloh, said the state is happy hosting the conference after bidding for it, and after it was seen to have the facilities for the conference.

He expressed gratitude to the state government under Professor Chukwuma Soludo for the tremendous support for the success of the event, which he said will draw more than 500 pharmaceutical companies to the state; with attendant cash inflows that will benefit the local economy of Anambra – petty traders, hotels, tourism and transport sectors, among others.

Describing hosting of the event as a way ACPN in Anambra is contributing to the economy of the state, Pharm. Iloh noted that knowledge from the conference will also help members improve in their practices in the state.
