An Anambra business man, Emeka Ukachukwu, has declared interest to contest for the office of the President of Isiagu community in the December 2024 town union election of community.
“I will serve the community according to the constitution to promote development, oneness and progress”, Mr Ukachukwu told journalists.
Mr Ukachukwu, a seasoned business mogul, announced his intention while speaking with Isiagu media in his country home Okpala-metuo family in Iruomamu village, Isiagu, Awka south council area of the state.
Nze “ Omekannia Isiagu” as he is fondly known owing to his large heartedness, revealed that success is not measured by amount of wealth or influence but rather the impact and selfless service one has rendered to the people especially the downtrodden thus, his reason to extend his wealth of experience, contacts and development to his community.
According to him, he has chosen the General Manager of Smith City Housing Estate Nigeria limited, Prince Ekene Chukwuma, popularly known as Mayor of Isiagu to run with him to be elected Deputy President General because of his vast investments in the town and most especially as one who is loved by the residents due to his people oriented policies and programmes.
He pointed out that with their partnership, he is sure that Isiagu community will be delivered from the shackles of mischief makers and money bag politicians who are only in such positions for personal gains to enriching themselves and subject the town to untold hardship and underdevelopment.
