To enable his constituents choose projects that will have direct impact on them, Anambra lawmaker and member representing Njikoka Two Constituency, Honourable Dr Jude Akpua, Omekannia, has presented a cheque of 5 million naira to Nimo Ward 4 for “constituency projects”.
The lawmaker made the presentation at an event held at the Egbengwu Ojideleke Square Nimo, which was attended by community members, APGA party faithful, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Akpua, who emphasized the importance of responsive governance, noted that to uplift the living standards of his constituents, it was necessary to embark on grassroots projects that would have direct impact on the people.
He reiterated his commitment to transparency and accountability in governance, ensuring that every fund spent would uplift the people and foster sustainable development.
Praising the lawmaker for what he called “transformative leadership and quality representation”, the Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Area, Barr Dominic Chinedu Ononiba, used the opportunity to call on Ndi Nimo to support Governor Chukwuma Soludo in his second term bid.
APGA Vice Chairman, Anambra Central, Chief Nduka Okoye, also urge Ndi Nimo to always support APGA government and be active in promoting good governance.
On his part, the Njikoka Local Government APGA Chairman, Pharmacist Chinedu Anaekwe, praised the lawmaker, Dr Akpua, for his commitment to ensuring developmental projects in his constituency.
While the EBU team leader, Mr Ekene Obeleagu, thanked the lawmaker for his good works in Umu Owelle, which he said motivated him to join APGA, Nimo Ward 4 Chairman, Mr Anthony Atupulazi, thanked APGA leaders and called for more collaboration in attracting dividends of democracy to Egbengwu Nimo.
It was gathered that the 5 million naira constituency project fund will be directed towards building “Nwoke Oye Orji Market in Nimo.
