A political support group, Solution Marshal has held a tactical meeting with the leadership of the All Progressive Ground Alliance, APGA, where they vowed to protect the votes of the electorate and the results at all the wards come November 8.
The tactical meeting with theme “Synergizing for victory” held at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, drew members of the group from wards and local government areas.
The event was attended by the State Chairman of the party, Barr. Ifeatu Obi-Okoye.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Boundary Adjustment, Mr. Kenechukwu Okoye and Barrister Obi-Okoye said that the essence of the group is strategic to protecting the decision of the electorate in the next election.
They insisted that it is past time when desperate politicians hijack and steal the decision of the people made through the ballot box as such the meeting is to ensure the votes are protected.
They charged the members of the group to be disciplined in order not to be found wanting and to partner with the local government and ward chairmen of the party to realize the objective.
Welcoming the members to the event, the state marshal general of the group, Barr. Titus Akpudo said the group’s responsibility is to ensure that the electorate participate actively during the poll starting from voter registration till the results are called.
He said the actualisation of Governor Chukwuma Soludo second term bid is sacrosanct which is why the meeting seeks to synergise with stakeholders of party and the Solution Marshal.
For the traditional ruler of Omor community in Ayamelum local government area, Igwe Chris Chidume, Governor Soludo is the best candidate in all ramifications and charged them to queue behind the Governor and support him so that he will continue his lofty vision and mission for the state.
Others who spoke during the event included, the Marshal Superior who is also Majority Leader of Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, the APGA Chairman for Anaocha LGA, Sir Anthony Ugorji, advised Ndi Anambra to show proof of solidarity with the Governor by projecting, delivering and protecting their votes.
