The remains of the late Mrs. Chidimma Charity Nnaeto have been laid to rest at her husband’s home in Mgbakwu, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The deceased, fondly called ‘Mma Malaysia’, was born on the 5th of October 1988 into the family of Mr. Paul & late Mrs. Ukwuoma Ulasi; from Obiagu Uruagu village, Nnewi North LGA, and married to Ichie Chigozie Nnaeto; from Mgbakwu, both in Anambra State.
At her funeral service in Mgbakwu, an Anglican priest reminded all gathered of the transient nature of life on earth, reason man must try to live according to the dictates of God.
Below are memorable notes on Mma by members of “2012 Graduates of Mass Communication, Federal Polytechnic Oko”:
1. Amaka Igbo David > A friend, a family, that’s Chidinma Chibuzo Nnaeto, nee Ulasi (Mma Malaysia)
Till the end; she had a very grateful heart, that’s why she was loved since the start,
A very lovely friend, mother, one of the most responsible wives and women,
She would do anything for her family and friends, and gave the best she could,
She did everything and worked hard to achieve her dreams and reap a reward,
With so much dedication and passion she left a big contribution to our mission,
The pain and sickness she felt inside
She kept to herself and her reassuring words that said she’s okay; guess she didn’t want us to worry and be dismayed,
In the end she wasn’t able to survive and suddenly left us all in disbelief and surprise,
It’s so sad we were not able to say goodbye, especially her son; who couldn’t help but cry,
Nmababy, thank you so much for all the memories,
There are alot of moments we can reminisce,
You may now rest in peace my friend, in tranquility worry no more…
2. Mrs Ukamaka C. Chukwuemeka > This is a truth that is always hard to accept, the memories shared will forever be remembered. You were a person everyone wanted to reckon with. You were so beautiful inside-out. You were a source of inspiration and motivation to us.
But death snatched you from us, helplessly. Though we cannot see you or meet you; but you will always stay alive and be smiling in our memories and hearts.
May your soul rest in peace till we meet to part no more. Goodbye, dear friend and colleague @ Nma Malaysia.
3. Hope Nwachukwu > Death is a price we all must pay, but you paid yours early. Nma Malaysia, you were a good and lovable friend, no dull moment with you, with your captivating smiles. God knows the best. Adieu Chidinma! Adieu my course mate!! Adieu Nma Malaysia!!!
Till we meet to part no more.
4. Enekwizu Peace Chiamaka (ASHIA) > Life is a Mystery which no one can predict. As well, death rolls like a juggernaut, crushing us all in the end. But we fly hither and thither to no avail.
So it is real that Mma Malaysia is gone?
I met you at Federal Polytechnic Oko during our school days. You were an amazing soul. Your selfless, generous, uncompromising belief in all that is good, as well as unwavering commitment. to what you do, words, even the very best of words, cannot pay tribute or truly capture the sense of lost that I feel.
The love from you will never be forgotten. I know you are in a better place, with no more pains and suffering. Keep shining bright in heaven. I wish you farewell in your journey to eternity. Mma,you will be in our hearts and memories. It was a privilege for me to have been a part of your life.
Good night Mma; till we meet to part no more.
5. Obianuju Cynthia Ezeobi > MMA, FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT
Our paths crossed when we were sophomore students at the Federal Polytechnic Oko. She was studious, focused, and determined. I was drawn to her, and we struck a friendship, one that extended to our families and beyond our academic pursuits.
We shared stories, we supported each other’s families, and we patronised each other business.
Alas! sickness started when no one expected. Family, classmates, and friends prayed, sought solutions, and did everything possible to hasten your recovery.
But after years of struggle, it pleased the Lord to call you into his bossom.
Nma Malaysia!!!!! You called me on the 4th of January, and you were full of appreciation. You sent me voice messages praying and thanking me and also more importantly assuring me of your recovery. In your words, ” I believe I am healed after listening to Pastor Jerry.”
Goodnight, my ever smiling, sweet baby ♥️ You are a fighter and I admired your resilience.
Just to reassure you again that your son Dubem will never lack because I am here.
Mma, we are heartbroken. But we are consoled that you fought the good fight.
Now you will rest in the bossom of our creator until we see on the last day.
Your darling friend, Obianuju Cynthia Ezeobi
6. Blessing Agu (Sapna) > Dear Nma, I still can’t believe that you’re gone.
The world seems empty without your infectious laughter and incredible kindness.
You’re one in a trillion.
Always eager to proffer solution.
Oh death, you are so hideous to take such a pretty heart away from us.
You’re memories are treasured within my heart.
You are irreplaceable.
Though you may be out of sight, you live forever in my heart.
Continue to rest in bossom of the Lord till we join the glorious flight to eternity.
7. OKOLO EMEKA Pascal > It is appointed for man to die once and after this, Judgement ”
But this I pray that Mercy reigns over judgement.
You were a person everyone wanted to reckon with.
You were so beautiful inside – out but, death snatched you from us helplessly.
Goodbye MMA memories of you will remain with me until we meet again to path no more.
Wishing you a blissful rest in eternity my dear Mama.
8. Joseph Egbeocha (Room mate) > The fact that you still left this world after we, members of “2012 Graduates of Mass Communication Federal Polytechnic Oko”, your families, friends and well-wishers, did all we could to have you stay longer confirms that when death is involved, men live in a city without wall.
However, it is our belief that you are resting in the bossom of the Lord where there are no more pains.#
